ABSTRACT, The author describes the construction and operation of a capacitive
electronic humidometer fro the measurement of the humidity of materials used in
foundries. The instrument in designed for the humidity range from 0 to 10
percent, and consists of a plane condenser connected to an electronic measuring
circuit. Humidity determinations take no more than 10 secoada, and the f

A small billoon was introduced into the gall bladder in 9 dogs with chronic
fistula and its movements (spontaneous and in responw to external factor%
and food intake) wcre registered over a period of wvcral month%. Extcrnal
influences had little influence on the motility, which w.A% found to dcpcnd
reatly on the individual peculiarities of the animal. Of food%, milk was
f
lound to give the strongest and most prolonged contractions; egg yolk pro-
duced a vigorous but shorter contraction; meat caused a brief, smill initial
contraction followed by a brief relaxation and then by a slow and progressive
contraction, bread caused a small contraction of short duration related to the
act of mastication. Emulsified egg yolk pvc a quicker and stronger con.
traction than native egg yolk, this contriction being equal to that produced
by raw milk. Powdered milk produced a slower and weaker contriction than
liquid milk. It is believed that the intensity of contraction is governed largely
by the liquid state of the ingested food, i.e. by its more rapid passage @rom
mouth to duodenum, which stimulates the rituroliumoral mechanisms in a
