TEXT- Experimental Investigations of grinding with d1amond disks were carried
out by the NII.Almaz toget~her with the MVTU. 'The T15YS grade hard all;-ywas machined
using the AflQ (AFF) 1rN0 x 10 x 3 d1w-nond disk with organic binder and a granularity
of 150, and the nu 58 wiw) rMT(GOST) 2424-52 grade abrasive disk of the same
granularity. The test 3peed ~~f both the diamond and atrasive disk was 11 m/sec,
longitudinal feed 1.5 m/min and the actual grinding depth amounted to 0.006-0.045
mm. The test reslill.s are given by the author. Moreover, experimental test 'S were
carried out with the following diamond disk grades:-AU (AChK) 75 x 8 x: 1.5 of
50%-concentration, A4q, (AChTsl) and AChTs. The author points out that Icw
pressures and temperatires during ti-e grinding process with dlamnd disks exclude
the possibility of cracks and other lelfects originating cn the surface of !be
machined part. Besides, the specific consumption of diamonds for honing processes
Is considerably lower thar. that of other grinding materials, Another characteristic
feature of diamond d1sk5 !s *heir capacity of Eelf-riccndltioning. i.e. +.hey need
