ABSTRACT: The author desc---ibes some of the measures for increasing
the numbE!r of radio amateurs in the Tukumskiy rayon.
Recently, a radio amateur club was organized in Tukum
which already has 50 members. Members of the primary
DOSAAF organizations a:2e actively engaged in attracting
more youths from the kolkhozes and villages to join the
radio club, Sofar, thex-e are 22 VHF amateur stations in
the Ttkumskiy rayon and some of the operators achieved
outstandfng results in All-Union contests. It is
planned to increase the number of VEF amateur stations
in the future.

Twelve students aged 30-35 years were studied. In all students
an increase in th) porform;ance after tho examinations was found.
The flicker fusio;ifrequency was only slightly altered. However5
neurotio students showed a lower performance with the clock test-
after the examina;ions. The changes were not due to the im-
portance of the load 'but more to the conditions under whioh the
