TITLE: The measurement of certain parameters of the acceleration pulse
SOURCE: Avtometriya, no. 1, 1966, 100-102
TOPIC TAGS: acceleration measurement, electronic circuit, pulse analyzer
ABSTRACT: In the measurement of shock acceleration, the entire shape of the applied im-
pul3e is usually not registered; the registration Is confined only to certain parameters
sufficient for particular practical purposes (thus relieving some of the strain imposed on
communication channels). When the acceleration pulse is smooth, its maximum value and
duration may be registered. For the case of nonmonotonic pulses, the author proposes the
use of the average value of the pulse as a substitute characteristic parameter. The determin-
ation of the average can be carried out by a circuit, proposed earlier by the author (Pribor
dlya izmereniya udarnykh uskoreniy, Peredovoy nauchno-tekhnicheskiy I proizvodstvennyy
opyt, M., TsITEIN, 1962, No P-62-18/4) which determines simultaneously the average value
of the pulse and its duration. This information Is supplemented by the measurement of the
maximum of the pulse carried out by a circuit shown in Fig. 1. Orig. art. has: 3 formulas ai

The article gives a comparative analysis of the clinical course of nephropathy and
histochernical changes of the placenta in 35 parturients affected with nephropathy.
The content of highly polymeric acid mucopolysaccharides in the connective tissue
stroma of chorionic villi increases with the severity of the illness. An especially
large quantity of highly polymeric mucopolysaccharides (hyaluronic acid in particul-
ar) is seen in the stroma of chorionic vil:.i in severe forms of nephropathy: the
mucopolysacchari(les are revealed in all villi near infarctions, in the form of
coarse granular fibrous formations, thickly interlaced.

SOURCE: Avtometriya, no. 2, 1965, 3-10
TOPIC TAGS: biology-, quantum theory, tissue physiology, cell physiologys informa-
tion storage and retrieval, information theory, data transmission, photonp blood
ABSTRACT: Theoretical prerequisites for information transmission in biologic
systems by means of quantum fluxes are given. The ultraweak luminosity of blood
and a nerve Is recorded with a photon counter. The problem includes mechanisms
for coding various factors of the medium in quantum fluxes and recording this in-
formation in chemical structures and mechanisms for retrieving the recorded quantum
information from the chemical structures and utilizing this information in
enzymatic-synthetic processes. Comparison of data on physics, chemistry# and
information theory with experiments in mitogenetic research indicates the possi-
bility of the existence of a highly effioient system of information transmission

TITLE: In Textile Plants of the Ivanovo Sovnarkhoz (Na tek-

PERIODICAL: Mekhanizatsiya i avtomatizatsiya proizvodstva, 1959,
Nr 2, pp L@4-4? (USSR)
ABISTRACT: The author deals with the mechanization level achieved in
thetextile enterprises of the Ivanovo Sovnarkhoz.
During recent years, a high mechanization standard has
been reached with 25 km of ropeways built. Some enter-
rises have introduced continuous transportation means
nveyers, transporters, etc). The use of pneumo-
M
transportation is spreading, and various new kinds of
equipment have been introduced (truck-mounted and elec-
tric loaders, trolley cars, electric platform trucks,
etc). The Ivanovskiy melanzhevyy kombinat (the Ivanovo
Melange Combine) uses electric trains for the stacking
and transportation of cotton bales. At the beginning
of 1958, 1,100 workers lost their jobs due to new me-
Card 1/5 chanization methods. The mechanization level, however,
SOV/118-59-2-15/26
In Textile Plants of the Ivanovo Sov-narkhoz
is still low. The mechanization of 'Uransportation
.operations e.g. affects only 15-40%. The Fabri*ka
"Krasnaya Talka" ("Krasnaye, Talka" Plant) uses a narro-w-
gage platform with cable drive for the transportation
of cotton bales, and the plants imeni Balashov and
"Krasnaya vetka" use electric cars of the EK-2 type.
Other plants use s-pecial carria es with dump trays.
The Furmanovskaya @abr_ika No 2 5urmanov Plant Nr 2)
uses monorail rorel7ays, desi-ned by Giprotekstill-
prom, balance Cears, dra-in- devices, double-chain
elevators, trolley conveyers, e'uc. A ropeway with
cradle is used at the Furmanov Plant lir 2 for the re-
moval of canvas. T'he Plant imeni Noc
gin and the Ivano-
vo MelanCe Combine use an electric tow car coupled
with suspension carriages. Ardamakov from the Kineshems-
kaya fabrika Nr 2 (Kineshma Plant Nr 2) has invented
an automatic device, removing tops from spinning ma-
chine spin-Iles within 30 seconds. The Ivanovo Sov-
Card 2/5 narkhoz has decided to equip 50 spinning machines with

this device. The "Krasnaya vetka" Plant has developed
a mechanized installation for the loading of yarn into
railroad containers instead of wooden boxes. The epter-
prises of the Upravleniye khlopchatobumazhnoy promy@h-
lennosti Ivanovskogo sovnarkhoza (Cotton Industry Ma-
nagement of the Ivanovo Sovnarkhoz) have 63.5 % of
their spinning machines equipped with staple-catchers
(mychkoulovitell). In some plants ("Krasnaya talka",
imeni Varexitsova, imeni Dzerzhinskiy and Novo-Gorkins-
kiy) all spinning machines are equipped with staple-
catchers. Several plants have introduced automatic
dust blowers. For hoisting and moving warping spindles,
monorail ropeways with electric telphers or chain pul-
ley blocks are used. The Ivanovo Melange Combine uses
the re-equipped 4004 battery loader with trailers for
transportation (as prime mover). Existing mechanical
spinning machines are being successively replaced by
automatic machines. Some plants have introduced air

are: a mechanized chemical installation at the Tsekh

tions; a rotary belt conveyer for the transportation
of raw material at the Fabrika im. rabochego Fedora
Zinov'yeva (Plant imeni the Viorker Fedor Zinovlyev);
a hydraulic elevator at the BIM Plant; and container
centers at the Teykovskiy (Teykovo) and Rodniki Com-
bines for forwardinp@ finished products. For feeding
boilers, removing slag, loadinf-5 and unloading lumber,
wood waste, peat, etc, electric telphers, pneumatic de-
vices, belt conveyers, Crab cranes, ropeways, etc,are
used. A suspe .nsion railroad (according to the pro-
ject of GiDrotekstillprom) has been installed at the
Ivanovo Meiange Combine and furnished with electric

Title The connection of the gravity anomaly with the vertical movements
of the Earth's crust
Periodical Izv- AN SSR, Ser. geofiz, Jul-Aug 55, 332-338
Abstruct The queotion of the connection of the vertical movements of the
earth's crust -@iith processes occurring in the submantle ij consid-
ered. On the basic of an analysis of the gravity anomaly find of
the amplitudes of deflection and upheaval of rocks, for example,
the Daepir-Donets Dnieper depression, the Ukrainian crystalline
massif and Carpathian zone, the author came to the conclusion that
the chief cause for the vertical movements of the Earth's i!rust an(i
the formation of structural elements named in the work is the proc-
esses of compression (buckling) and expansion (upheaval)of the
submantle sustance, so that or its overflow plays a subordinate
role and is not a necessary process, although a possible one.

TITLE: On the causes of tectonic motion and magnetism
SOURCE: Akademiya nauk Ukrayins'koyi RSR. Instytut.heofyzyky.
Geofizicheskiy sbornik, no. 20), 1962, 3-13'
TEXT: The-author reviews Soviet (including his own) and
Western work, mainly of recent origin (1948-1961) but including some
papers dating back to 1936. Formation of the following geological
features is discussed: plateau depressions, deep faults, transverse
deep faults, geosynclinic troughs in the uppor and lower regions of
the earth's mantle, deep depressions in.land-locked seas. Hypotheses.
on the origin of tectonic motion, put forward by Yu. A. Bilibin in
1955 are shown to be in aareement with geological and geophysical
data. There are 34 references: 30 Spoviet-bloc and 4 non--Soviet-bloc.
