Abstract: In many towns and villages of HunEary, the Amer-
ican foul brood appears every year in various
apiaries. In 1956, this disease was ascertained
in 44 Ilaces. European foul brood and "humped"
brood is encountered rarely. These diseases
are often underestimated because of weak symp-
toms. Extensive losses are caused by nosemato-
sis; it occurs mostly in April (1,003 3amples)
and in May (455 samples), and is still suffici-
ciently strong in Tune (142 samples), i-. e. dur-

relative distances s/d between parallel turbule,it isothermic ai@r
jets on the development of a jet in a concomitant flow of the same
medium. The exDerimental installation is described. Dao different
velocity fields riere tested, the ratios of the velocities of jets
and flow 1. being 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 and co . 9 nozzles were used. The re-
sults are given in graphs. It is concluded that 1) the attenuation
of the axial velocity of jets depends on both '5 and s/d; a sys-Llem
of jets is att-nuated more slowly than a.single jet; the influence
of S/d decreases rap-'--dly and practically disappears for s/d larger
