calculated on the basis of daily records from 20 observatories in Hungavy, for a

differential diagnosis and etiolo3y of sinus cavernosus thrombophlebitis
and report tha case of two of their patients where treatment was successful.
Instead of intrathecal treatrient,..both patients received large doses of anti-
biotica, mainly i.v. tetran,for two weeks without ill effects and vitamins.

TEXT: The author considers the cases of lay-out of construction, when spe-
cific conditions are given for location of the corners of a construction, in ad-
dition to sizes of its sides. So, It is.requested that vertexes of an equilateral
triangle should be located: on parallel straight lines; on coordinate axes; on
concentric circles of a prescribed radius. Formulae are derived for calculating
rectangular lay-out elements and examples are presented of their calculation. The
author considers the case of determining the size of the sides of a square con-
struction with such a lay-out that vertexes of the square approach, in the best
possible.way, to the given parallel lines. The latter problem is solved under con-
dition of minimizing the sum of squares of deviations. G. Levchuk

Abstract: The finer details of percussion and the diagnostic conclusions
which can be arrived at with the help of it are discussed. In some cases of
contradictory or indefinite radioloZical findings, percussion can be used by
the internist whose consultation with the radiologist may lead to a correct
diagnosis. The value of percussion lies in the better evaluation of sub-
jective symptoms along with the objective ones even at the stage of
examination of the patient. Because of its simplicity, it is especially
useful in the case of a severely ill patient who can only be moved with
