ABSTRACT: Sequential functions used in designing multicycle automatic control systems
are considered. The sequential function is regarded as comprising a combination

t'l-dekhess wit hthe following chemical composition (%): 0.09 C; 0.5 Si; 0.9 Mn;
17.37 Cu; 10.8 Ni; 0.78 Ti; 0.03 P; 0.025 So The nitrogen was introduced into
tho welding bath in the form of nitrided manganese. The result of the study was
a new austonitic-ferrite powder wire with a 0.5% nitrogen content. It is
reDorted that in the welding of lKU8hqT with this wire, the nitrogen refines
t,h~ seam structure and improves the stability of iseams against hot cracking*

ABSTRACT: Austenitic stainless steels of the 18-8 type are prone to stress corrosion
cracking in chloride-containing solutions whereas high-Ni alloys (containing
-40-45% Ni) resist corrosion of this kind. In this connection it was of interest to
,,investigate the corrosion resistance of these alloys in chloride solutions on partial

4replacement of Ni with Mn. Accordingly, the authors investigated alloys of the
CKM400 types containing from I to 23% Ni, which, to enhance their resistance to gene-
ral corrosion, were additionally alloyed with 2.5-3.35% Mo, 0.23-0.3% Ti, 0.25-0.38%
Al and 0.23-0.4% B. Variously stressed specimens of these steels were tested for
stress corrosion cracking in boiling (+154*C) 42% MgC12 solution, on first undergoing
heat treatment (1100*C for 1 hr, cooling in air). Specimens of.MMIM~kustenitic
