Abstract: Pheasants were found to be susceptible to Newcastle disease,
showing an incubation time of approximately 3-4 days. Death occurs 4-6
days after infection. A ten-day quarantine period was judged to be ad-
equate. The La Sots, vaccine was found to provide effective immunization..
irrespective whether it is applied in the form of opthalmological drops
or inhalation aerosol. The immunity begins to be evident three days
after the administration of the vaccine, and becomes complete after
six days. No references.

Abstrict: Tests with attenuated TIN virus for infectious hepatitis, admi-
nistered to duck breeding stock by injection or orallyshowed that it is
possible to confer natural immunity for several generations. Immunization
demonstrably increased the amount of spcficic antibodies in the blood se-

practically no difference in total serum protein between hens having
egg in the magnum and those with egg in the uterus. The percentages of
protein components are also similar. By using veronal buffer, the fast-
moving section could not be detected in hen sera. In the chick serum there
was a fast-moving fraction, and the ri-glubulin fraction was low. In the
albumin there is also a fast-moving fraction and a backv)ard-moving frac-
