Endomyces magnuaii. The author explains the

Abstract: low temperatures increases with the decrease of
moisture contained in -them (partial dehydration
of calls in a 5% solution of NaCl and preliminary
drying). Maintaining viability of the yeasts
during low temperatures depends on the age of the
culture (young cells are more sensitive) and has
no connection with.the length of time the cells
remain under low temperatures, Respiratory energy
rate of frozen yeasts in comparison with unfrozen
ones decreases an average of 55%, and the number
of germinating cells in addition equals, on the
average, 25%. Nonoonformity between the inten-
sity of 02 absorption and the quantity of germin-
ating cells is indicative of either an increase

in Yugoslavia from 1950 to 1960; 67 of these were in Croatia. Based
on the unexpectedly high incidence of positive titers (10 persons)
in a large state farm where constant -recrudescences of the -disease
in pigs and cattle caused authors to auspect possible role of human
carriers, authors suggest that atypical and subclinical forms in riab
are rauch more frequent than believed and may play an important role
in perpetuating brucellosis in some faming areas. Table, 1 western
