Plant) "Telpod" . in G~acow, 4 Lipowa 97-e-eT. For inside use the KSTA-7y'pe
Is manufactured for the following voltages: 220, 380, 500, 3POO, 3,030,
3,64o, 6,ooo, and 6,060 v a-a, 50 cps. At the end of this year a 9,090
v type will be added. There are several power values for each voltage
(either one or three phases). Up to 500 v can be supplied with or with-
out enclosures. For mounting out of doors the KEZ type Is manufactured.
Among these, KEZ-E -type has one pole connected to the outside, the other

Abstract In the region 750 -- 4500 Om-1, the authors have investi-
gated the infrared absorption spectra of several natural
coals with different degree of carbonization: brown
coal (I), hard coal (III), and anthracite (III) after ex-
traction with a mixture of benzene (7C%) with ethanol
(30%). It is noted that as the increase of the carbon
contents in the specimens of the coal increases, the
overall background of their spectral absorption increases,
particularly in the short wave region, this being explained

by the graphitization of the structure of the coal.
In spectra of. I, an intense absorption band near ap-
proximately 3350 cm-1 is observed, corcesponding to the
vibrations of the hydroxyl groups. Its intensity de-
creal-es with carbonization of the coal. In addition,
bands are observed in the spectra near 1690 cm-1 (car-
bonyl group of nromatic ketones) a group of bands in
the region of 1150 -- 1280 cia-1 (valent vibrations of

TEXT: The author deals with the propertiec of generalized Fourier
coefficients. The family of Fourier-Stieltjee coefficients is defi-
ned. A function is said to be m-periodic of period w if its m-spec-
trum~consists only of multiples of 2jf/w. A theorem is established
determining the set of Fourier-Stieltjes coefficients for such func-

TEXT: It is shovm that a kind of thermodynamics, desip-nated by the authors
as "informational thermodynamics" or "A-thermodynamics", can be constructed
on the basis of the "information" concept. Informational thermodynamics
chiefly operates with the t-ao concepts "information" and "expectation",
both of which are functionals of the probability distribution.. Informatio-
nal thermodynamics is more abstract than the traditional one, which the
authors call "probabilistic thermodynamics". In contrast to Jaynes (Ref.,
see below), -.-ho only uses operators with a limited number of proper values,
also such operators with an unlimited number of proper values are discusoed
here, as belong to a specific class of so-called "thermodynamically regulael
operators. It is shown that all other possible operators are unsuited for
thermodynamic considerations. A Hermitian operator A, representing an
arbitrary physical quantity, is thermodynamically regular, if its spectrum
