The authors found that the watery extract of the trachornatous follicles and the
rinsing liquid produce fibrinolysts. It is especially characteristic, that in cases of
trachoma the reaction occurs within 1-2 hr. This proteolytic enzyme belongs to
group UI of the cathepsins and to formed from the desintegrating lymphold tissue.

Chem. and Ind.. 1963, P- 785- The Z-G1u(OtBu)-His-LYs(BOC)-Tyr-OCH protected tetra-
poptido was synthesizod by the azide-coupling of the dipeptides, v2ch' yielded after
saponification and catalytic hydrogenation the partially protected initial-paptido
suitable for polycondonsatione. Polycondensation was performed with the aid of dicy-
clohoxylearbodlimide in dimethy1formamide and the protecting groups were subsequently
removed by trifluoroacetic acid. The synthesis techniques and the properties of the

Abstract [Authors' Znglish su=ary, modified]: Employing Sapirstein's
Rb-86 icator fractionation nethod, the effect of certain endogenous
vasoactive substances on the coronary fraction of cardiac output has
been studied in the rat. Angiotensin II slightly increased the coronary
fraction but had no effect on blood flow and resistAnce. Serotorin crea-
tinine sulfate was effective in the highest dose only. Norepinerhrine
in smaller doses slightly increased the fraotion, the highest dcse
significantly increased coronary flow and diminished the resisttnoa.
Epinephrine increased coronary flow.
