.ABSTRACT: H. Blasbalg et al. have described the principle of operation and
!fundamental characteristics of a new random-access radio communication system
!that uses frequency -shifted pseudo-noise (PN) signals (IEEE Internat. Conv. Rec. ,
~1964, pt. 6). The present article tries to determine the possible number of talkers
(subscribers), in this switchless system, which depends on the basis of PN signal,
!
!the mutual -interference (clutter) level, and the conventional noise; numerical
;information is transmitted. The result is presented in the form of curves of number
lof talkers vs. total-noise power for probabilities of error lying between 10-' and

ITITLEs Determining the tolerances for matched-filter parameters
CITED SOURCE- Tr. uchebn. ino-tov ovyazi. M-vo avyazi SSSR; npo 20p 1964, 150-158
TOPIC TAGS; matched filter, electric filter
TRANSLATION: Tolerances are determined for th~ parameters of' the matched filters
that have a high compression and are designed with multisection delay Unes.
Formulas for small deviations of (or --Asmatch in) the parameters are presented
The order of deviation is specified for each particular case,. In processing th;
signal, a coherent reception takes place in tho r-f ahannel, and an incoherent
reception, in the vJd,ao-frequency channel. Bo% the random mllsmatoh caused by
filter-parameter spread, and the determinate rLismatch due to environmental
variations are considered. It is found that the mismatch cautied by the delay-tine
Viriation has a max3mum effect on the signal-to-noise ratio. A table of tolerable
mismatch depending. on the apeoified reduction of the signal-to-noise ratio is
presented., Bibl. 20
