It in established that the conductance of cerzimic specimens between 3500C and 5500C is; purely ionic. At low temperatures the main current -carriers are thel la and Mg ions; the traxisport number, expressed as a percentage, is! large-r for 1,11g. The transport number for Al though small in absolute; value, increased nearly linearly with temperature. Fe ions begin i to contribute to the conductivity only at temperatures higher than 45000. The transport number of Al+++ is larger than that of Ca++. Card 1/2 - VAYSW9 M. V. A study of the conductivity of ceramic materials. Uch. zap, Volg. goo. pad. inst. no.11:85-91 159. An investigation of the nature of conductivity in ceramic'materials PERIODICAL: Referativnyy zhurnal, Elektrotekhnika i energetika, no.18, 1962, 8-9, abstract 18 B '43. (Uch. zap. Stalingr. gos. pea. in-ta, no.11, 1959, 85-91). TLXT: Clay was sifted through an 0.25 sieve and, with a humidity of' 15-20cjo~, was shaped at a pressure of 185 kg/cm2. The specimens were dried to constant weight at a temperature * of 120 OC and fired in a muffle furnace at-a temperature of 900 OC. They were then grounds washed in CC14 and distilled water, dried at a temperature of 120 OC and placed in a dessicator.' Tubandt's - procedure was used to study thb nature of electrical conductivity at temperatures of 350 - 550 OC. Electrolysis was carried out with a field stress of 6 - 7 kV/cm in the specimens. After current had been passed through the specimens they were washed in distilled water and titrated with 0.1 N solution 1-12SO4 to determine the Na and K contents. The contents of Cal Mg and Al were determined Card 1/2 An investigation of the nature ... s/196/62/000/018/008/017 E194/E155 with the reagents murexide, magneson and stilbazo developed by IRYeA. The total quantity of Fe was determined with sulpho- salicylic acid and Fe3+ vfith ammonium thiocyanate. by this procedure it,- is possible to determine the cations ca2+, 1,,g21-, .~13+, Fe2+, and I-'e3+ to amounts of 2 - 3 micrograms. At a temperature of 350 OC almost all the current is carried by ions oP Mg and Na. At 550 OC most of the transfer is by ions of M&2+, then Col;(r' Na+, A13+, pe3+ and Fc2+. The small transfer number of Al"'i increases almost linearly with temperature. Fe ions take part in electrical conductivity only at temperatures above 450 'C. III(-: transfer number for Ca2+ is zero within the limits of experimental error at temperatures below 550 OC. 3 figures, 8 references. f-Abstractor,s note: Complete translation.-,I I J Card 2/2 VAYSMJ4N, Moyshe Zakharlyevich; TSULDIOV, A., red. TITLE: Vertical six-spindle OG-399 (OS-399) diamond boring machine PERIODICAL: T3yulleten' tekhniko-ekonomicheskoy info'rmatsii, no.12, 1962, 44 - 45 TEXT: The model OS-399 boring machine is*intended for boring various automotive bushings in large-scale production. The maximum boring diameter is 200 mm. This model is a semi-automatic machine manufactured according to cus- tomers' specification with special setting for the-components to be-machined. The diamond boring of the inner bushing diameter i 's pbrformed on the basis of the outer di-ameter which is preliminarily machined. The author presents a brief description of the machine design features and gives the following technical data: capacity - 18 pieces/hour, number of spindles - 6, boring length - 270 mm, spindle speed - 270 rpm, maximum slide travel - 800 mm, feod - 0-07 mm/spindle revolution. The utilization of this machine results in savings of 4,500 rubles per year. There is I figure. Card 1/1 VAYSMAN, N. A. .;? '0014 The OS-300 vertical Bix--vpindle diamond-boring machins. Biul.
