ABSTRACT: A great part of the productive strata in the Azerbai-
dzhan fields have low permeability (especially the
horizons In the I&ykop and Kirmakin series). These
horizons are under dissolved-gas pressure and are
characterized by a high oil saturation and a low
yield. These beds lie at depths ranging from 300 to
2000 m. The purpose of using the hydrofract processin
the stratum is primarily to increase the yield of
Card 1/2 wells with low productivity. A well with a yield of

0.05 to 4,1 tons per day was selected for the hydrofract experiment
on the stratum, The production in this wall is chiefly from the
Kirmakin sories. Faw Kirmakin oil from wells in Balakhan was used
for the rupturing fluid. The viscosity of this oil varied within
wide limita (from 150 to 1350 centipoises). At present such oil is
treated by a thickneing agent, which permits the development of
general purpose oil necessary for rupturing viscosity. The authors
describe the engineering principles In the rupturings the preparation
of the drill hole, the process of producing the ruptures, and the
results. In an overwh6lwing majority of capes, the oil yield was
increased from twofold to sevenfold, Immediately after rupturing,
the yield falls off sharplys bixt after the oqnditions are stabilized
the yield proves to be considerably greater than the average daily
production before the rupturing, This method Is very promising a,nd
may lead to Increased yield from low permeability reservoirs in the
productive bads of Apsheron,

ABSTRACT: In the microscopic theory of conductivity, a simple
S-interaction was considered in the form of a rectangular well
near the Fe.-mi surface. In thia approximation, a spectrum of
elementary excitations was obtained, separated from the ground
state by a gap. N. N. Bogolyubov (A new method in the theory of
superconductivity, AN SSSR Publ. House, 1958; Uspekhi Piz. Nauk
67, 1959. 549) has shown that, in addition to the elementary
excitation there are also collective excitations in supercon-

ducting systems,, They are longitudinal quasi-acoustica:!. waves in
neutral systenns. In the presence of coulomb interactions, they
become the utsual plasma excitations. The present paper deals with

TEXTs The method of the self-consistent field of V.A. Fok was generalized
by N.N. Bogolyubov (Ref. 1) by considering the correlation between particles
witfi opposite spin. The generalization was carried out for Fermi systems for
temperature zero. A further generalization (for temperatures different from
zero) was carried out by N.A. Kvasnikov and V.V. Tolmaohey (Ref. 2), where
the formulation referred to the thermodynamic potential of the Fermi systems
with quaternary hamiltonian. Bogolyubov (Ref. 3) has shown that for the
application of the method proposed in (Ref. 1) to processes derending ex-

has shovm that in-superconductive systems elementary and collective (4uasi-
acoustical) excitations exist. At absolute zero longitudinal waves with a
propa.-ation rate v,/(3' (v,, - particle velocity on the'Fermi surface) occur
in a neutral Fermi system. The collective excitations in such a system are
studied at non-zero temperature. These excitations are of interest not.,_ -,
only in respect of the gauge invariance of theory but also for describing
the electroma,-,netic properties of superconductors. An exact analysis of
the collective excitation spectrum of the superconductive system shows that
there exists a quasiacoustic temperature branch besides a kinematic branch.
