Title :The Effect of Micronutrients on the Gladiolus
Orig Pub: Sad i ogorod, 1957, No 5, 67-68
Abstract: The observations were made at the farm of the
Buldurskiy Fruit and Vegetable Technical High
School (Latvian SSR) while planting gladiolus
bulbs, spaced at 20 X 25 cm. on a bed 1 m. in
width. Before planting the bulbs were kept in
micronutrient solutions for 16 hours. In the be-
ginning of August the plants were sprayed with
boric acid, blue vitriol, potassium permanganate,
cobalt nitrate and zinc sulfate. Plant blossoming
was accelerated (by 15-20 days), an increased
