ABSTRACT: In order to provide a source of controlled voltago-for dynamic
brAldng in asynchronous drive appnratus, the authors have created small
controllable rectifiers, oporatin~g on the phase control prinoiplo, using
.silicon thyristors. The requirements for accuracy and range of control are I
aat.isfied by using a phase controller, in which the heating signal is applio&
in the form of a pulse -,dth a 3toop loading edge, whioh provides accurate
control of the anode current. The main olomont of the phase controller is
a shift register made of pulse logioal elements. The supply pulso5 for the
.logio elements are formed by a pulse generator whose generation froquonoy is.'
