--~PERIODIC&L:----Pribbry-i-to--khnika---eksperimenta, March-April 1963, v. 8, no. 2,

TEXT: The article describes an instrument for conducting relative measure-
ments of the instantaneou3 values of the field strength of the pulsed magnetic
field in a synchrotron. 3pecial design features reduce the transients in the
measuring circuit from 5 m sec to 50/~sec, which makes it possible to measure.

TITISt Analysis of a two-position temperature controller based on a Belf-excitod
oscillator
SOMCEt Priborostroyeniye, no. 4. 1966, 1-3
TOPIC TAM temperature control, temperature controller, thermostat
ABSTRACT% A theoretical and experimental analyais is preaented of a temperature
controller that has an asymmetrical bridge circuit in the feedback of a transistor-
ized oscillator; the temperature sensor makes one of the bridge arms, thus starting
and stopping oscillations (and an gutput relay) in response to very small temperature
changes. J'or;qulas describing self-oscillation conditions, sensitivity, and stability
of the controller are derived. An experimental hookup showed a sensitivity of 0-05C
or better and a critical-feedback drift of 0.5C for an ambient-temperature
variation of 20--50C; no drift was detected on a supply-voltage variation of 20%.
These conclusions, are offered:.(l) the maximim controller sensitivity depends on
transistor paramieters and mV,reach 0.02% sensor resistance; (2) The minimum critical-
feedback drift is 0.1% sensor resistance for an ambient-temperature variation of
20-50C; NUsing average transistor parameters and no' matching, the controller
drift will be 06,~ sensor resistance. Orig. art. has'. 3 figures and 23 formulas.

TITLE: Temperature regulator for semiconductor measuring circuits

SOURCE: Izmeritel1naya tekhnika, no. 6. 1966, 88-89
TOPIC TAGS: transistorized circuit, temperature regulator, thermostat
ABSTRACT: A temperature regulator for semiconductor circuits has been developed.
The regulator is designed to work in a miniature thermostat together with the
circuitry which is to be regulated. The regulator consists of an oscillator with a
bridge network in its feedback circuit (see Fig. 1). Thermistor Rt in one of the

aMns of the bridge touches transistor Q2, whose function is to heat the thermistor.
Depending on the polarity of the bridge unbalance voltage, the feedback is either
positive or negative, driving the oscillator either into oscillation or cut-off.
If the oscillator is cut off, transistor Q2 is non-conducting. If the oscillator
in on, transistor Q2 is biased by the rectified voltage of diode D, nnd heats the
thermis tor to a given temperature (until the bridge is balanced). At that poin t,
oscillations ce'ase and Q 2 ceases to conduct. Me experimental results showed that
with outside temperature changes from 0 to 40C, the temperature inside the therno-
.Lhe
stat was 42.3C with an error of tO.05C. The size of the regulator is 2 cm3. -
device performs stably at a variaticn of the supply voltage of 120%. Orig. art.
