Abstract /Authors' English summary modified 7: Pharmacological
action -chloroform, ethanol, and light peTtroleum extracts from
the Chinese drug "tang-lcuej" was investigated. The light petro-
leurn extract has a spasmolytic, analgesic,cantral depressant,, and
hypothermic effect. Ligustilid was identified as the active sub-
stance in the spasmolytic effect. Ethanol extract was as active
as the light petroleum extract; chloroform extract was less ac-
tive- 3 Figures, 2 Tables, 3 nestern, 1 Czech, 5 Japanese, 5

Abstract: The pressor effect of angiotensin (AT), noradrenalin (NA),
gn-F-of-Eyrar.ane (1"f) was investigated on reserpinized dogs. Reserpiniza-
tion increased the pressor effect of AT and NA., but decreased that of TY.
An infusion of NA in re5erpinized dogs somewhat increased the effect of
AT, and completely restored the effect of TY. Infusion of AT did not
ch;;,nge the effect of N'A. Reserpinization did not affect the action of AT
and NA on heart beat frequency, but eliminated the action of TY on normal
