ABSTRACT: in this article the author discusses problems con-
nected with the Yugoslav petroleum production as well
as the possibilities of their solution, According to
the author the present petroleum production enter-
prises are engaged in various activities, including
the production of petroleum, gas and liquid gas,
depth drillings, construction of building projects,
petroleum and gas transportation systems, repair shops,
etc. In accordance with the directives of the economic
development plan the "Lendava" and the "Jermenoveill
type of petroleum are sold tax free. Prices of crude
oils are determined by the Ured za cene (Pricing Office).

Plan Directives of the Petroleum Production Industry
At present crude-oil prices are determined chiefly
by bargaining between production enterprises and petro-
leum refineries through the Udruz'enje za naftu (Petro-
leum Association). Recommendations of this Association
are generally accepted by the Pric:ing Office. Further,
the author suggests iLmprovement of drilling operations,
greater investments in the exploitation of petroleum
and gas fields, thus contributing to the reduction of
crude oil prices. There is 1 figure, 3 tables, 4
graphs and 1 set of graphs.
