Abstract The possibility was studied of the extract Iion of cyclolie-
xane (I) from synthetic benzine obtained during the hy-
drogenation of semicoked brown-coal resin, and from ban-
zenc (II) from coke-chmaical production. It is indica-
ted that after hycrogenation by direct distillation in
a colum with 35 theoretical plates, one can obtain suf-
ficiently-pure I with a yield of 073 percent by weight
(in resin); dephenolization of the resultant product
lowers the yield to 0-33 percent by weight.

Abstract: In a laboratory unit an Investigation was made of the process of
aromatization of gasolimea and narrow gasoline fractions,, obtained
by hyd:rogenation under high pressure of the semi-coking tars of brown
coal from northern Bohemia. The experiments were carried out with
Mo- and Pt-catalyste. It is shown that these fractions can serve as
the rair material for dehydrogenation, especially with the Ft-catalyst.

to brittle ceramic parts, etc.'The manufacture of the pickup is
much easier as the requirements to the quality of execution of the

chemically in 2 adults and 22 newborns. Muscular tissue is much reduced in the
newborn in comparison with the adult; the sam e could be found with regard to
elastic tissue in arterioles of the chorioidea and retina in the newborn. The co.-titent
of acid mucopolysaccharides and lipoproteins did not show evident differences..

The Danish DBED penicillin is compared with the Czech penicillin preparations and
it is concluded that In all degrees of severity of scarlet fever the Danish product Is
equivalent to the other preparations so far as the following properties are concern-
ed: the temperature falls at the same rate, mostly within 4 days, but certainly
within 6. The exanthema gradually disappears frurn the 2nd to the 6th day. The
number of complications during hospitalization is the same. The streptococci dis-
appear from the mucous membranes in the same percentage and at the same time.
Only one out nf 69 patients leli 'he clinic with streptococcl, which were of the same
strain as thoce which he had on admittance. The number of complications during
the 6 weeks of convalescence Is the same.

The Danish DBED-penico.llin is compared with the Czech penicillin preparations
and it is concluded that in all dezrees of severity of scarlet fever the Danish pro-
duct Is equivalent to the other preparalions so far as the following properties are
concerned; the temperalure falls at the same rate. mostly within 4 days. but cer-
tainly within 6,. The exanthema gradually disappears from the 2nd to the 6th day.
The numbir of complications during hospitalization Is the same. The streptococci
disappear frorn the mucous membranes in the same percentage and at the same
time. Only one out of 69 patients left the clinic with streptococci, which were of
the same allrain as those which he had on admittance. The number of complications

TEXT: The defectoscope is intended to detect cracks In blades without
the turbine having to be dismanted. The apparatus was made up*from valves
of the "finger'; series and from semiconductor elements. it measures
290-126-155 mm and weighs about 3 kg '' or with the container 6 kg. It
works 6n a single frequency (2-5 megacycl es) which i~ viell suited for
blades of heat-resistant alloys up to 180 min lone. Cracks of 0-5 min depth
can be easily detected. The apparatus takes current from a battery,uses
35 vi and operates with a specialAY'0-1 (AIG-1) searcher. The searcher
contact aurfaco is coated with a thin film of oil and is so applied to the
blade that the supersonic waves pass throuSh the blade lenehwise. Cracks,
produc; an echo signal of the blade surface, aocompanied by an additional
echo signal on the screen. There are 2 figures.

Simmenthal, breed at the Experimental Training
Earm of the Penza Agricultural Institute.
Water baths (5-6 liters) at a temperature of
350, 450, and 500C for 4-5 min. before the
1st and 3rd milking were administered. The av-
erage amount of fat in the milk yield of three
cows during initialmilking increased by 0.1%-
