Title : Acid Petroleum Asphalts as Fuel for Mineral Oil Refineries.

Abstract : The composition and the physical-chemical description of
acid petroleum asphalts accim-lated at a mineral oil re-
finery in Poland are presented. A 3 month experiment of
burning petroleum asphalt mixed with coal (gra.Lns 0 to 10
mm) in the ratio of 30 : 70 in an installation of the Wil-
cox and Babcock type did not show any corrosion. Taking
into consideration the experiment of burning fresh acid
petroleum asphalts iu fireboxes of mineral oil refineries,
the conclusion was arrived at that it is possible to use

Abstract fAutbor's English sum=ry7: on the baris of thn examination of 400
patients with Bechtere's disease, its evrly radiological symptoms are dealt
.,with. Cuboid vertebrae were found in 4'

characteristic of anterior spondylitis uvre present in 5%. Among the
examined patients, apondylodiscitis was found in 62 cases, eapt-cially
women. In the case of early sacroiliac eympt=3 cuboid vertelbre.e were
found in 10%, and spondylodiscitis 'in 16%. In the patients suf'fering from
Bechterea disease, the early demonstration of the radiological symptoms
in the vertebral column is of great practical importance, 32 references,
mainly Western.
