i-th kind in the J-th sublattice. For describing the configuration of
atoms in nonstoichiometric n-component solid solutions, the suparlattice
is subdivided into 1 sublattices. A system of equations witb
m (n - 1) (1 - 1) equations, obtained in zeroth approximation, des Cr4 bes
the ordering processes in the arbitrary solid solution of the system A in
terms of its composition and temperature. Using these equations a phase'
diagram can be drawn. The Cu - Au system is calculated as an example.
The stoichiometric solid solutions are calculated in zeroth approximation
with the interaction of nexu neighbor atoms, on the one hand, and of

fire control, rocket launching, etc., The size equipment should be reduced to
the lowest scale, but still securing good results. This can be achieved by de-
velopment of semi-conductors, layer conductors, ferrites, ceramics, and by
eliminating the use of electronic valves and replacing.: them with small ceramic
ones. Electronic equipment should be designed by modules or micro4modules, The
elements of a module are printed plates in super-miniature size and assembled
wafer-like. The author is quoting US modules for resistorr. condensers, bobbins
and transistors which are used in electronic computers. The US portable radio
set AN/PRC-25, working with 44 transistors, one 1.4 w transmitter valve, having
a total volume of 4,500 cm3, is described. The reliability of these devices is

TEXT-:. The art Iicle is the first part.of an instructive sdrial and
presents a general account of electronic countermeasures. The
crucial significance of ECM is illustrated by a pertinent review
of WW II. A prereqi#site to efficient ECM is reconnaissance to
ascertain data of enemy transmitters such as frequency, recurrence
_rate, -pulse width, beamwidthl antenna rotation rate, and to pinpoint
the bearing of such transmitters. Active EGM methods are spot jamm-
ing and barrage jammingi continuous or pulse signals and synchronous
or asynchronous pulses may be used. Most dffective, today is a con-
tinuous signal with white noise modulation, A typical airborne EOM
set is visualized to consist of a receiver, analyzer, program selec-
programming circuit and transmitter.

From studying the electrical

conductivity of solutions of I and II it is shown that these are dinuclear
complexes, diamagnetic-both in the solid state and in solution. The
authors consider that the diamagnetism is brought about by interaction
