YAWINSONS Doe B. . I, PA 237T33 AUTHORi YAKHINSON.B.I, PA - 2146 TITLEr ~_Un a ~Letter from G.I.ATABEKOV (Russian) PERIODICALs Zhurnal Tekhn. Fiz., 1957, Vol 27, Nr 2, PP 424 - 425 (U.S.S.R Received; 3 / 1957 Reviewed$ 4 / 1957 ABSTRACTt ATABEKOV's letter concerning YkKHINSON's paper "Transition- processes in stripes and low-frequency-filters" is commented upon. The difference between the answers obtained from the various authors concerning the analysis of simple transition- processes i# filters is chiefly due to the methods of idealizing filter-characteri8ties. It is shown that in his paper ATADEXOV mentions a possibility of qualitatively equal conditions in the case ot the analysis of processes at the input and output of the filter. The author by no mea.na identified the characteristics of input- and out- put-conductivity. The recommendation of the expediency of an assumption that the active component of input-conductivity is constant in the transmission-stripe and outside of it is zero ist according to YAKIIINSON, not convincing since the complex input-conductivity in the transmission-stripe is not constant, and outside of it is not equal to zero, while it steeply rises in the domain of section frequencies. Card 1/2 A 2146 On a Letter from G.I.ATABEKOV. In his paper ATABEKOV emphasizes the inadmissibility of independence of a(Q) and b(4). ATABEKOV is inconsistent in investigating the stripe-filter since he imposes an additional condition b(47 ). According to YAKHINSON there 0 is no necessity for doing so since b(4ro) can be determined from (46). It is strange.that ATABEKOV speaks of the con- dition b(q 0 in a different manner than of a condition 0 for the characterization of the frequency of the applied influence. YAKHINSON ;agrees with ATABEKOV's remarks 1) and 2) at the end of the letter. ASSOCIATIONt Not given. PRZSENTED BY: SUBMITTED: 20-4-1956. kVLILkB,LE*t Library of Congress. H., Powell Mi G., J. Amer. Chem. SOO.,, 1945, 67, 75) and to enlarge'the temperature range somewhat. VC14 was prepared by chlorinating alumino- thermic V.. A scheme of the chlorination installation is attached, the method of work is described. The pressure .of the saturated vapor PVC14 was determined by the flow method permitting to compute the partial pressures Of VC14 N2 was used as and C1.2 separately. The following was found based on'the, experimental data: logpVC14(mm) = -(2174 / T) + 5.19; L -=.9.9 0.1 kcal per mole; A S (vap.) - 25.8 entr. units. The checking of the data by the method of measur- ing'the vapor pressure by boiling points within the range from,25 to 850 resulted in following values: log PVC14 -(2185 / Tj + 5.21; L = 10.0 + 0/1 kcal per mole,,a S (vap.) = 23.6 + 0.4 entr. unit:37. It follows, from the concordance oP-the results of both these methods that VC14 in vapor form is a monomer. The changes had a re- versible character; 2-3 months after the termina- tion of the course of treatment, the function of the external respiration approached the initial state.
