TITLE: Thermodynamic Principles for the Production of Acrylonitrile
and Its Homologs by Condensation of Formaldehyde W t Low
Aliphatic Nitrilas
PERIODICAL: Xhimicheskaya promyshlennost', 1959, Hr 7, PP 575-577 (USSR)
ABSTRACT: A great disadvantage of industrial processes used at present
for the production of acrylonitrile (Refs 1-6) is the use of
poiaonous metal cyanides and hydrocyanic acid. In this respect
the new method of proaucing acrylonitrile and its homologs,
by condensing formaldehyde with low aliphatic nitriles, is of
special interest: CH3
