ABSTRACT: A great disadvantage of industrial processes used at present
for the production of acrylonitrile (Refs 1-6) is the use of
poiaonous metal cyanides and hydrocyanic acid. In this respect
the new method of proaucing acrylonitrile and its homologs,
by condensing formaldehyde with low aliphatic nitriles, is of
