J 136 experiments were performed on 7 dogs with the small Pavlov stomach. After
i. m. injection of 5 mg./kg. of chlorpromazine there was marked inhibition t
cretion, both free and bound LIM were decreased, and the enzymatic poten
the secretion dropped for 3-4 hr. , then rose to far above the normal value
Chlorpromazine caused prolonged sleepiness and weakness with occasional periods
of restlessness. Doses of 2 mg. and 10 mg. per kg. gave similar effects.
