Oblast', is locatei in the vicinity of 2 lartre kolkhozes (imeni
Lenin and imeni Stalin). The workshOD for the mechanization
of animal husbandry is the mo.7t active link in relations bet-
ween the school and the kolkhozes. As it is, the school be-
comes familiar with the engineering methods used in farm
work prior to the kolkhozes. Accordingly, when assigned to
the kolkhoz for work, the students already have some experience.
The author quotes a few cases where ttudents demonstrated
their ability. He describes an automatic device for providing
cattle with warm water (using feed boiler 2X-1). He outlines
how the workshop participated in the cattle-breeders' endea-
vors to reduce losses of newly born animela by using biolo-
gical stimulants such as vitamins, ultra-violet irradiation,

on emulsions of vitamins A, D and E, These vitamin emulsions
were tested at the dairy farm of the K,,rsesovVbnz Nr 23 (State
Stud Farm Nr 23) and at theladglAwiftp- MWWmftr Station. By
utilizing the plans of Chiet Engineer tu.,SnKetov of the
Balakleyakaya MTS, published in the journal "Ma4hinotraktor-
naya stantsiyall Nr 3, 1.956 the workshop has rebuilt. the feed
