Zavodskaya Laboratortya, 1959, Vol 25, Nr 6, pp 739 9-740 (USSR) ABSTRACT: The porosity of chromium coatings was in the present case -investigated-by-thi~-method of-mercury compression by means of a pore gauge (Ref.). This method permits +.he,det_rmination of,-the volume of pores with a radius of from 350000-t Vo several RWtr6m. The pore measuring device is a massive steel cylinder into which the glasm dilatometer with the sample is put.- The- dila-Zometer-is filled with mercury, next the cylinder is exposed to pressure (the pore measuring device 2 PI-5 allows a pressure of 5000 kg/cm ). Mercury penetrates into thepores of the sample under pressure and the change in volume in tie dilatometer is determined by means of the variation 01 the. electric reisistance of a calibrated platinum 4 Card 1/2 wire. Fiziki-,~1957, Vol. 33, Nr 4, pp. 873-876, ,(USSR) ABSTRACT. A ferrite is theoretically treated like a lattice consisting of "classical" magnetic dipoles which are embedded in a dielectric continuum. The treatment of the electrical condactivity in this model demonstration shows that in the Curie point the straight line ln-rVI-VAis the electrical conductivity) undergoea a change of inclinationi namely with a reduction of the activation energy in the ferromagnetic domain. From this follows that below the Curie point the electron6L 'in the zone of conductivity have only one single spin orientation. There are 6 Slavic references.
