ABSTRACT: The author, together with S.N. Inozembsev, criticized, thei
GOST 5290-50-5302-50 standards for the system of draf t1ing
:
economy as ear
1y as 5 years ago. A project of new standar~dn
on the same subject has been worked out by the Leningradskiy
filial proyektrio-tekhnolovichpsl7o,,:o instituta (Leninkrad I
Branch of the Technological Planning Institute) .. and is
reviewed by tho author, who thinks that a great many Points
should be chanaed. The requirements of the automobile' in-
dustry in the drafting sector are not considered, nor~has
attention been paid to the value of the motor vehiclo:plant8l
30 years of prELOtical experience. It is pointed out~that,
the country's leading motor vehicle plants, such as GAZ,
ZIL, MZMA, thotie in Ullyanovok, Ifinsk and other places,'util-
ize effective melhods in~the draftine sector, The author
urges the institute to issue a now project with the critic-
Card 1/2 ized points eliminated.

In 64 children aged 9-16 yr. the'electrical activity of th.e,cerebr'al cortex on ett.
mulation with light flashes was studied, In 65% of healthy child"n the cortical,
rhythm changed in response to the flicker when the frequency of the latter was
between 6 and 24 per sec. This was seen especially in the a rhythm. which cor-
responded more or less to the frequency of the stimulus In this range. With & low.
er frequency of flicker (3-6 per sec.) no true synchronization occurred. A remark.
able fact Is that In many children the EEG waves were doubled or trebled with) re-
spect to the rate of flicker. rhese peculiar changes in neuronal activity were also
observed in sleeping children. It is concluded that the registration of EEGs with
flicker stimulation in children opens up new prospects for research.
