Translation: tae have shown earlier that a-substituted succinim.ides ~~ossess a
definite acticonvulsive action with respect to convulsions caused by corazoll
and electric shock. It is known from literature that the ant.Iicorazoll. action
of barbiturates and hydantoins increases when nitrogen is metlllylatf~d at thc~
third position. An identical effect was produced by ~3lkylatiiotl and especially
by methylatior, of imide nitrogen in the case of succinir:ide derivatives .
