showed no effect on ~1TY-ase activity in the cortex (110.6+-8..1) or medulla
oblongata (b8.4+5.i), but stirtulated activity in the midbrainl and dien--
cephalon (90.4-4-0.5) . Pgridrol had the same effects otl the mi.crosomal
fractions of the cortex (87.5+6.9), medulla oblongata (71.2-4-6.5) rind the
midbrain and diencephalon (105.6+7.3) as phenamine. (:affeine initihited
ATP-ase activity in the cortex (63.1+8.4) but did not cltrztt};e it iti the
medulla oblongata (53.7+7.8) or the midbrain and diencc~phalon (71.2-f~6.5) .

Abstract: A study was made of the effect of psychostimulants upon tl~e in-
corporation of h42 into the tissues of various portions of the brain in
rats. Phenamine (2,5 mg/kg) and pyridol (12.5 m~ $ _

permeability of the diencepi~alon and thr mesencephaJ.on. ['hettamine .utd

It should be noted that the greater the reverse cone, the better
