"New Systemic Fungicides (survey of Soviet and Foreign Literature)"
Moscow, Ehimiya, v Sellskom Khozyaystve, Vol 9, No 6, 1971, PP 31-37
Abstract: The article reviews work done in the field of the 1,4-oxathiin
derivatives (Vitavax) Plantvax, Sidvax and G-696). The authors deal almost
exclusively with the fore-ing literature. The only Soviet reference is to
I. M. POLYAKOV et al., who established that the development of brown rust of
wheat de~,reases in direct relation to the exposure time for seeds in a solu-
tion of VLtavax and the content of the active ingredient. In plot experimnts
seeds inm-rsed in a one-percent solution of the chemical for 60 minutes showed
four tims less rust than control. The article considers the mechanism of the
systemic fungicidal action of 1.,4-oxathiin derivatives.

Abstract: A review is presented of 85 reference J.tei,-,s on the fun,-icide
properties of benzimidazole substitutes, namely thiabendazole, furydazoie,
