"A Device for Determining the Mathematical Expectation of Random Processes"
Moscow, Otkrytiya, Izobreteniya, Promyshlennyye Obraztsy, Tovarnyye Zn,-,-.i,
No 48, Dec 73, Author's Certificate No 409244, Division G, filed 4 May 72,
published 30 Nov 73, pp 120-121
Translation: This Author's Certificate introduces a device for determining
the mathematical expectation of random processes. The device contains a
pulse generator, source of input information, an amplifier, diodea, a rec-
tifier, and a shifter. Vic pulse generator is connected to a modulator
directly and to the first input of an interrupter throuln"i an accumulator.
The source of input information ic connected to tlip modul.ator through a
comparison circuit. The shifter is connected through a multiplier to the
output of the device. As a distinguishing feature of "he patent, the vorking
precision of the device is improved by adding magnetic accunnulator eiemer,~S.

The inputs of these accumulator elements are connected to the corresponding
diodes, and the diode inputs are connected to the output of the interruptor.
The output of the rectifier is connected to the shifter and to the com-
parison circuit. The modulator output is connected through the amplifier
to a second input of the interruptor.

Translation: Results are presented from degassing alloys based on aluminum
in a six-ton vacuum mixer. Mixing the liquid bath during the evacuation
process reduces the If content in the melt. It is necessary to select the
vacuum treatment parameters beginning with the presence of volatile components
in the alloys. There are 5 illustrations, 2 tables,and a 6-entry bibliography.

Translation: Results of degassing aluminum alloys in a vacuum holding furnace
of 6 tons capacity are presented. It was found that ndxing the liquid bath in
the vacuum evaporation process decreases the hydrogen content in the Melt. It
is demonstrated that the selection of the parameters of vacuum processing must
be zaade proceeding from the presence of highly volatile components in tde
alloys. Five figures, two tables, six bibliographic references.
