excited levels are of IntereBt because of the possibillty thlAi; such states of
chlorophyll molecules participate in the photosynthesio proatitts. ~Zuasiline

authors' data. The present article describes results of a stptematic atudy of

Abstract: The authors discuss experiments they hall-cr performed in
which they discovered neir abarac terU ties of radiation t:~ni2otrcjpy
which, when studied in detail, may lead to the so'hation of cer-

frozen vitreous solutions. The principal subject of this zar-er is
the dependence of that polarization on the ti;me in which trlfa oil-

Moscow, Izvestiya A-kademii Nauk S$SR, Serlya Fizichaskitya, Vol 37, No '3, 1973,
pp 508-512
Abstraett The authors made a kinetic study of triplnt-txiplet electron ener-
gy transfer for donor-acceptor pairs of aromatic hydro(mxboun and ketones,
the lower triplet levels of which have vaxious eleCt=OIL con"" lj!-,uratlons. This
phenomenon of T-T enorgy trwofer wan used to study tho patfts of excitation
energy degradation in anthraquinone and benzophenone moleculv:,, In the 1~as
phase, az well as to obtain sensitized anti-Stokos annUL,111al.lon retarded
