SUBJECT: Possible Move of OTS Facilities
REFERENCE: MFR dtd 17 Aug 78 fm DC/RECD/OL,

(S) Supplementing the reference attached,
Applied Technology Group, OTS, advised this date that
Mr. Brandwein,Director, OTS, and the DDSjT would be meeting
with the DDA on 19 September 1978 to discuss the subject
project and obtain his approval to proceed. Mr. Brandwein
has already coordinated with the Director of Communications
and the Chief, Central Cover Staff and obtained their tenta-
tive concurrences. According to they are
presently discussing only the relocation of OSD/OTS rather
than all OTS personnel located at Also, con-
trary to the estimate of $250,000 provided by Mr. Brandwein
25X1A for the move, estimates the construction would
cost approximately $700,000. This later estimate is based
on higher square foot cost figures which were provided by
the undersi ned. Once the DDA approval has been obtained,
25X1A will contact the Real Estate and Construction
Division for specific assistance and designation of a
project engineer with whom he can work.
