Approved For Release 2003/06/20 : CIA-RDP86-01019R000100240019-9 18 O C T i973 !F i1RA DIM i FOR: Director of tleapons Intelligence Dear Dave: The inputs on the Environmentally Sensitive Equip- ment Study have been received and reviewed in detail by our engi- neers. There appear to be misunderstandings in some instances as to specifically what was proposed; additionally, (and as expected) the responses from the various components took somewhat different tacks and are not readily amenable to compilation for review by the Deputy Director for Management and Services (DO/iii&S). In discussions with some of the responding com- ponents, it was suggested that a meeting be held to, hopefully, arrive at a joint position regarding Environmentally Sensitive Equipment (ESE) facilities for presentation to the DD/M&S. I would propose that we (OC, OFL, OJCS, OL, 0PP0, OwI, & ISG) get together for about an hour at 0915 on Tuesday, 30 October. The DD/M&S Conference Room, 7032, would appear convenient to all. I would suggest a 10- or 15-minute question period. The remainder of the meeting would be spent in discussion of alternates and hopefully the development of a concensus on an ESE facilities planning posture for presentation to the DD/M&S. Please give a call on extension made the meeting or have an alternate proposal. if you can't /s/ Francis J. Van Da.mm Francis J.
