Information storage and retrieval system for Intelligence
analysts. Dedicated on-line electronic information storasre
system. All-source type of data base both classified and
unclassified. Functions: electronic "mail." delivery, auto-
mated text preparation and editing, rapid electronic co-
ordination, electronic personal files. "Paperless Office"
concept of data management. On-line 24 hours/day, 7 days/-
week--Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) required.
AMSTAR: (Automated. Document STorage and. Retrieval)
Document Storage on film base (200x reduction) with
automated retrieval for OCR. Expanded base to support SAFE
document storage requirement. (SAFE requirement causes ADSTA.R.
to require UPS power). "Larger-Faster" microform information
(non-electronic data) system.

CAMS provides automated assistance to the Intelligence
