1. Laserite ODP Construction - A preconstruction meeting
was held at ~~~~ aLL. m. to3a`y- on -t e Laserite ODP construction
contract. Representatives from HEB, Security, GSA, ODP, and
PEEP were present. The contractor indicated that the P&P Laserite
area should be cleared for construction by 26 February 1982,
and that the Laserite should be onsite for installation two
weeks prior to the scheduled completion date. (Completion date
is approximately 25 June 1982.) The contractor indicated that
he would begin moving material into the "B" Vault and DCI
driveway area on. Thursday of this week.
2. SAFE Phase I - GSA met with the contractor and HEB
during the weed o1T5 February 1982 to discuss the SAFE Phase I
area Halon system. No decisions were reached., nor was a
schedule for resolving system problems generated. Last week
the contractor corrected operational problems in two of the
air-handling units and poured concrete bases beneath several
raised floor supports which had been improperly installed
originally. The contractor removed several sprinkler heads
to allow proper recutting of the ceiling panels. The heads were
replaced. One of the sprinkler heads began leaking very slightly
and the contractor responded on 22 February 1982 to repair it.
However, shortly after he departed, the head began leaking again.
HEB will notify GSA so that the contractor can be called back
to repair the leak. (The leak is occurring in an area where no
equipment is located.)
