MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: SAFE/ADSTAR Meeting with General Services
Administration (GSA)
1. On 8 November 1978 a meeting was held at GSA to discuss
the SAFE and ADSTAR Projects. Attendees were:

technical questions as follows;
a.. What is precise division between SAFE I an
SAFE II?
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the status
of the SAFE design and to present information upon which the
firm of could submit a proposal to
GSA for design of the ADS' AR facility.
2. In regards to SAFE, the A-f had a list of minor

c. Which wire closets are to have new power risers?
d. What is exact division between the UPS and

g. Does the Agency prefer a wet or dry pipe
sprinkler system?
S ATINTL stated that based upon the A-8's inter-
mediate submission, which is due 30 November 1978, GSA will
make a determination as to the total project cost including
GSA fees. He expressed some concern that design for a phased
construction sequence might cost more than for just one straight
project. Answers to those questions noted above will be formu-
fated after consultation with SAFE project personnel.
3. The ADSTAR project was discussed. The A-E was given
drawin s of the GE0424 and IH112S areas. and the STATINTL
A?E will be at Headquarters on 13 November to survey the area.
S ATINTL instructed the A-B to have his proposal ready by
1 Novem er 1978 The A-E requested additional copies of the
drawings. A request will be made to ADSTAR personnel for ad-
ditional layout drawings.
