SUBJECT Termination of CIA-sponsored Air Force Reserve Unit
The purpose of this memorandum is to advise that we plan to discontinue
sponsorship of our Air Force Reserve Unit,
revealed that our current requirements no longer justify retaining our Reserve
Program and we plan to disestablish it with a completed phase-out date of
1 October 1982.
In this connection we respectfully rqquest that you transfer our reservists
to other units as soon as possible.
We appreciate the support your Center has provided our reservists and
special thanks to Chief Master Sergeant Jimmy Ward, the Reserve Affairs M UNK
monitor at the Pentagon, who has been instrumental in providing valuable
information to our unit.
