SUBJECT Inspection Report on the
Office of Imagery Analysis
1. We have reviewed the draft of the Inspection Report of
OIA. Overall, I am pleased with the results of the inspection.
Although there are several areas which were identified during the
IG survey that need OIA management attention, these are
relatively minor. I believe virtually all can be resolved, many25X1

2. I would also like to commend the Office of the Inspector
General for the highly professional manner in which the IG team
conducted its investigation of OIA. OIA management has, on more
than one occasion, brought this to my attention. The team
conducted a comprehensive study of OIA, was not disruptive to
daily office activities, required relatively little support from
OIA personnel, and provided constructive feedback to OIA
3. Our comments on the first recommendation in the IG
report are presented below, and comments on various sections of
the entire report are in the attachment. In addition, OIA has
already forwarded to the IG team some suggested changes regarding
classification of the report.
