.SUBJECT: Inspection of the Office of Imagery Analysis
(OIA)
1. The DDCI has approved an IG inspection of the Office of
Imagery Analysis. We plan to begin this inspection on 19 October
1981.
2. The purpose of the inspection will be to assess the
effectiveness and efficiency of OIA in meeting its responsi-
bilities and to determine if the Office is in compliance with
law, executive orders, and Agency regulations. We will, of
course, be concerned with all aspects of OIA's mission and
functions as well as its management policies and practices. The
.inspection will proceed by means of briefings by OIA component
heads, individual interviews with clerical and professional
employees, and- discussions with imagery analysis consumers. For
your information, we are also launching a parallel inspection of
NPIC.
