This document contains the National Intelligence Topics, which were
established by the NSC Policy Review Committee, in accordance with
Executive Order 12036 (1-202), as requirements and priorities for use by
the intelligence agencies of the US Government.
The Topics of Current Interest have recently been reviewed and updated by
the Policy Review Committee (Intelligence). The purpose of the Current
Interest topics is to inform intelligence collectors and producers of the needs
of senior policymakers for information and analysis over the next six to nine
months.
The Topics of Basic Long-Term Interest, which are reviewed on an annual
basis, will be taken up by the PRC(I) at its next meeting on priorities. The
long-term topics are intended to guide the development of capabilities of the
Intelligence Community for collection, research, and analysis over the
longer term.
It is recognized that these lists do not embrace all requirements for
collection and production for which the Intelligence Community is
responsible.
