Mrs. COLLINS introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee
on Appropriations
A BILL
To amend the Department of Defense Appropriation Act, 1983,
to require the procurement of certain articles packaged in
the United States or its possessions.
1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 That section 723 of the Department of Defense Appropri-
4 ation Act, 1983 (enacted into law as a regular appropriation
5 Act by section 101(c) of the joint resolution entitled "Joint
6 resolution making further continuing appropriations and pro-
7 viding for productive employment for the fiscal year 1983,
8 and for other purposes", approved December 21, 1982
9 (Public Law 97-377)), is amended by inserting "packaged,
10 after "reprocessed," each place it appears.
