Covert Action Planning Group -- Wants to know about it; who, how, etc. SIGINT Committee -- What else should we study in depth similar to the decision? -- Should contribute to the evaluation of the collection mix. -- What can SIGINT contribute to intelligence on terrorist intentions. -- Would like to know about accomplishments in getting SIGINT to the commands quickly, especially Beirut. Economic Intelligence Committee -- Found responses too general: Wants to know who, what, etc. Scientific and Technical Intelligence Committee -- Doing important work; should beef up the clerical staff to get that work out. DDS&T Sensor Committee Would like the report on their findings that they presented to the Comptroller in August of 1983. Interagency Intelligence Committee on Terrorism -- Need to increase the priority on terrorism. -- Interested in procedure for assessing terrorist threats. Security Committee Asked a question about PD-24 which DDCI ation with ] made OBE (advised both -- Shares the Committee's frustration over leaks; would like a review of how past DCIs have successfully weighed in heavily. Information Handling Committee -- How are they addressing broad issues of information management li i f po cy , n ormation handling needs? Joint Atomic Energy Intelligence Committee -- Wants more information on how it works. HUMINT Committee -- How can we better integrate the collection plans of the national intelligence estimate process? -- Look at the level and depth of reporting needed in emergency conditions, like Grenada. -- How can we have reserves ready to supplement collection efforts, such as Beirut? Nuclear Intelligence Panel -- How can we provide more feedback to the panel? Can we do more work in between panel meetings to make better use of its efforts? Priority Collection Projects Panel -- Would terrorism be a good topic? The battlefield laser? Science and Technology Advisory Panel -- How can we get more synergism between STIC and STAP? Covert Action Review Group (probably the ExDir's) -- Should we have a more formal process? Military-Economic Advisory Panel -- What are their future agenda items on military/economic matters? Foreign Language Committee -- Are there any efforts or should there be to maintain a roster of people with special language skills that might be needed in cases of emergency? -- What kind of staff does the Committee have? Camouflage, Concealment and Deception Technical Review Group -- Any reaction to the Bross recommendations? What is the relationsh'p of the work that they are doing to the work being done by I SEEK Analysis Group What new approaches and methodologies are being explored for exploiting Technology Transfer Intelligence Committee -- Is there enough effort being made to use your defensive efforts against technology theft to acquire S&T information from our adversaries? -- Are we focusing on the really important intelligence questions and resisting being dragged into the kind of collection and processing that enforcement agencies should be doing to make their own work effective? Weapons and Space Systems Intelligence Committee -- Would like contributions from them for his worldwide briefing on where we see enhanced Soviet weapons going and enhancements on conventional weapons; would also like a briefing updating him on these developments.
