SUBJECT Consultant Justification for Fiscal Year 1980
1. The approval of the Director is required for the use of
each consultant for FY 80. Your. Directorate currently has the
following consultants:

2. Attached are an original and four copies of Justification for
Consultant (Form 503) on each of the above individuals. If the
consultant is to be continued, please complete blocks 6, 7, 8, 9,
and 10. If there has been a change of mailing address for the consultant
since June 1978, please indicate the new address in block 8.
3. The Director is particularly interested in the utilization
of consultants. Thus, I urge that the duties and justification
for retention be fully explained in block 8.
4. If the services of a consultant will not be required for
FY 80, complete only blocks 4, 6, and 8. Block 8 should contain
the statement: "Consultant will not be continued beyond 30 September
1979." The signature of the responsible official is to be shown
in block 8.
5. The completed Forms 503 in an original and four copies
are to be forwarded to the Chief, Contract Personnel Division, Office
of Personnel by 1 July 1979. One copy of the form will be returned
to your Directorate upon completion of the processing.

6. You are invited to advise this office of any special matter
to be included in the renewal letter to be sent to each consultant
whose services are approved for FY 80.
