Some Questions That Might Be Addressed
1, How important to the future of the NATO alliance is Europe's
major participation in NATO defense production?
2. How vital is a viable European defense industry to the US?
3. Are European defense industries capable of providing NATO with
the modern weapons systems they need for the 1980s and 1990s?
4. How important is intra-NATO industrial cooperation to the
European defense industry?
5. How important is the Third World market to the Europeans?
6. What analytic efforts should the Intelligence Community make
to support policymakers in this field?
