to Lecture Before the American
Studies Participants of the Christian
College Consortium

1. Attached is a request from the Christian College
Consortium for me to-speak to their-American Studies
group on the afternoon. of 13 October 978. The lecture
and. discussion-will be in Washington, . C.
2. The Consortium is made up of mall church-
related liberal arts colleges. CIA an lysts have spoken
to this group. for several years. I, a d an analyst from
State/INR, spoke to the group last yea about Soviet-
Chinese competition in Asia. This yea 's topic is the
Soviet view of the Sino-Soviet relationship and of the
US presence in the Far. East. I would of discuss. classi-
fied material nor would I speak. from a prepared text.
