SUBJECT Briefing at Headquarters Building,
28 October 1981
1. The State Department (Public Affairs) has requested
a briefing of a group of academicians who are participating
in State's Scholar-Diplomat Program. This group, eight in
number, has been brought to Washington by the Bureau of
Politico-Military Affairs. All are US citizens and have
been granted Secret clearances. They will be accompanied by
two officers from the State Department.
2. The group will arrive by Agency bus at 2:18 and
leave on the Bluebird at 4:35. They will be briefed in
Room 1-D-4021.
3.1 Chas agreed to brief the Scholar-Diplomats
on the role of the Agency and Mel Goodman of the Office of
Soviet Analysis/NFAC will present a briefing on Soviet Foreign
Policy.

Visit to Headquarters, 28 October 1981
1. Attached is a list of names, dates and places of birth of a
group of eight scholars and two State Department employees who will
be visiting Headquarters on 28 October 1981. All are US citizens.
The briefing will take place in Room 1-D-4021 beginning at 2:00 pm.
2. The group will arrive at Headquarters via the Bluebird
shuttle bus from State. They are expected to depart the Agency at
approximately 4:35 pm, returning to State via the shuttle bus.
