The State Department (Public Affairs) has requested a briefing of a group of academicians who are participating in State's Scholar-Diplomat Program. This group, eight in number, has been brought to Washington by the Bureau of Politico-Military Affairs. All are US citizens and have been granted Secret clearances. They will be accompanied by two officers from the State Department. 2. The group will arrive by Agency bus at 2:18 and leave on the Bluebird at 4:35. They will be briefed in Room 1-D-4021. 3.1 Chas agreed to brief the Scholar-Diplomats on the role of the Agency and Mel Goodman of the Office of Soviet Analysis/NFAC will present a briefing on Soviet Foreign Policy.
