SUBJECT: Request for Technical Review of MITRE Bedford Proposal
1. Per our telephone conversation of 25 October 1984, request your review
of the MITRE proposal (Attachment 1) in support of the IC Staff and DIA. DIA
will be forwarding the funds for this effort through appropriate channels. I
have again informed MITRE that any work performed by them since 1 October 1984
is at their own risk. I request that pre-start contract expenses be
authorized. You may wish to clarify MITRE's current status with their
contracting officer.
2 Per your request, I have attached a technical evaluation (Attachment 2)
of MITRE's past performance and included a sole source justification statement
(Attachment 3). I request that the proposal be sent to the review board and
that the contract be awarded as soon as possible. If I can be of further
assistance, please let me know.
