Dear Hugh:
In establishing the Selection Committee for the Exceptional Intelligence
Analyst Program for 1985, I intend to follow last year's pattern with
representation from CIA, DIA, NSA, and State/INR. The Selection Committee
will meet in early February. In keeping with the tradition of rotating the
chairmanship, the State/INR representative will chair this coming year's
Selection Committee. I should appreciate your appointing a representative to
serve in that capacity. Last year Mr. C. Thomas Thorne represented INR.
